AdJug's founding team combines many years of online advertising experience and entrepreneurial expertise. Read below for a list of our senior executives and their respective achievements in the business:

Michael Stephanblome

Co Founder and CEO

Michael brings over 10 years experience in all aspects of internet advertising to AdJug. He has an extensive background in general management, marketing, sales and product development both in small and large growth businesses and a deep knowledge of strategic marketing with regards to online marketplaces. Before founding AdJug, Michael was the Managing Director of Gumtree.com, the UK's leading online classifieds site which was acquired by eBay in 2005. Michael took the company from break even to high margin profitability doubling annual revenues, users and traffic. Prior to that Michael was eBay's Marketing Director in Germany for over three years, directly responsible for a 100+ million dollar annual marketing budget and managing, building a high-powered marketing team. During his tenure, eBay's reach in Germany grew from 6% to over 50%. Michael started out as eBay's Head of Categories in Germany in 2001. Other positions included Managing Director of web startup urbia.com UK Ltd and Head of Interactive at Zippel Communications. Michael holds a BA in Journalism from Cologne Journalism School and a Master of Business from Cologne University.

Satish Jayakumar

Co Founder & Director

Satish comes with over seven years of entrepreneurial experience in launching and running profitable businesses. He is an expert on performance-driven, contextual ad models. Recently, as the Director of Strategy (EU) for MIVA, Satish closed a number of innovative deals which laid the ground for the future strategy of MIVA.

Prior to MIVA, Satish founded Nixxie.com - the UK's first contextual advertising platform. As one of the founding team members of Espotting.com (NASDAQ: MIVA), he was responsible for the concept and the launch of Europe's first PPC syndication platform. Subsequently he closed syndication deals for Espotting accounting for over £40m in annual revenues with partners such as Dennis Publishing, ITV, Tiscali, Ask.com and Yahoo. Satish started his career as a Sales Manager for Mitsubishi Electric (TYO: 6503) in their Space & Satellite Systems division. Satish holds a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from Robert Gordon University.

He has been earmarked by Growing Business Magazine as one of the UK’s top 30 young entrepreneurs and also been featured in the Courvoisier Future 500.

Max Moore

VP of Publishing, Europe

Max is a well seasoned Business Development executive leading Business Development teams for over nine years. His well rounded experience includes over 5 years in Web Search as well as a stint in Mobile and more recently 18 months in Video.

Max graduated with a degree in Information Systems and went on to design and develop the distribution platform at Espotting where he joined as part of the founding management team. He went on to head up Espotting’s affiliate business as Director of Search & Partnership, responsible for establishing Espotting’s search network across 8 European territories. After the sale of Espotting, Max was recruited as VP Business Development for a Mobile application company before leaving to start up ROO Media in Europe, building a team and executing deals with a range of tier one publishers to supply video streaming, CMS and video solutions.

Max has returned to team up with Satish at AdJug and lead the charge for recruiting publishers to the AdJug marketplace across Europe.

Dan Newman

General Manager, UK

Dan has over 12 years media experience with the last 8 focussed on the digital publishing sector. Hugely energetic and organised, he has an extensive knowledge of the online advertising market as well as a strong background in all online publishing disciplines including, general management, marketing and technologies. Before joining AdJug, Dan held a number of positions including Sales Director and most recently General Manager at Dennis Interactive from 1999. His responsibilities included P&L, strategy, business development, launches and overall management of all departments including technology, sales, creative, marketing and editorial. On the commercial side he was personally responsible for many complex deals with leading clients, agencies and technology companies which all helped towards a 30% year on year increase in turnover. On the non commercial side he relaunched sites such as Maxim which increased it’s traffic by more than 200%. Dan also sat on the AOP (Association of online publishers) Commercial Board giving him great insight across the online publisher landscape. Dan began his career in the B2B publishing section at MacMillian Publishing and then Wilmington group.

Andrew Nappin

VP of Engineering

Andrew is a technology veteran and software architect with specific expertise in contextual online advertising systems and interactive bidding environments and has worked in diverse web software environments such as C++, PHP, Perl, ASP, C#/.NET both in LAMP and Microsoft infrastructures. Andrew was the brain behind Espotting's software architecture across Europe over a period of more than 6 years. He designed Europe's first pay-per-click syndication platform delivering over a 100 million searches per day and £100 million in revenue annually and being used in more than eight countries with multi-currency/multi-language capabilities. Andrew also built a number of crucial internal systems such as Espotting's CRM and CMS system for publishers. He managed Espotting's in-house applications- and implementations team and was instrumental in scaling and rebuilding the current technology platform of Espotting. Andrew holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Wales.
